Profile
A particular Traveller profile is selected based on the material spun, count processed, spindle speeds and various other factors prevailing in the mill.
Upto to 20s Ne:
In general, for spinning counts coarser than 20s Ne we can use either P1/EPI on flange 1 rings and P2/EP2 on 2 flange rings. These Travellers have the maximum yarn passage.
Count range Ne 21s to 50s
Count range Ne 21s to 50s comes under the medium yarn passage category and we recommend M1/U1 UM/EM1 for 1 Flange rings and M2/U2 UM/EM2 Travellers for 2 flange rings. These Travellers have medium bow height for obtaining best spinning results.
Greater than Ne 50s
Greater than Ne 50s are fine and super fine counts requiring small yarn clearance, but at the same time these counts are processed at higher speed in 1 flange rings. Hence for achieving low center of gravity, LRT recommends L1/EL1/U1 UL Travellers to get best performance. If 2 Flange rings are used you may use U2 UM Travellers.
The mill has to select the best suitable Traveller as per their condition to avail the advantages, available with different type of our Travellers.
